More Stringy Blocks, Some Fabric Finds, and a Hedgehog

I’ve been busy with my stringy blocks and now I’m down to only nine more to do!  Yay!  (I can’t tell you how many there are but if you look at Bonnie Hunter’s blog and search for Jamestown Landing, you’ll know that are more than a few!)  Here are the 19 that I finished in the last few days between working frantically on my Kona project.

This is the current view of all the blocks I’ve made so far for this project.  I’m hoping to begin assembly this weekend, after a I clear a few other projects.

Now, I know we are all in the “no buy” phase of resolutions, but I couldn’t pass up these lovelies when I found them on clearance….I mean, really, kitties and Christmas…what’s a crazy cat lady to do?

Then there were these pretties in the thrift store just begging for a new home.

The berry one is more home décor weight so I’m thinking of making some bins with that.  I saw a lovely basket tutorial while I was looking at the stops on the Kona Hop…now I just have to remember where!  And, by the way, have you been following this hop?  I’m amazed at what people have been doing.  I can hardly wait to show mine tomorrow (well, tonight, really…I’ll be posting before nine for all those people in other time zones.)

Now, from time to time, I have the privilege of pattern testing for the lovely Kristy at Quiet Play.  This time, I got to test her hedgehog pattern which will shortly be appearing in her Craftsy store.  Isn’t it adorable?   I just love her stuff!  Speaking of Craftsy, I still have a class giveaway going on and you can find that post here.  Of course, I have a giveaway for the Kona hop, too, so be sure to come back later and see!

Happy quilting,
