“The Last Forever” is an Exquisite Coming-of-Age Story

Tessa is grieving. Losing her mother has left a hole that no one can fill and, frankly, her father is far too lost in his own grief to help. An impulsive road trip puts Tessa and her father on a course they never expected…one that may lead them to one of the most remote places on Earth. Deb Calletti has created a stunningly beautiful tale of love, loss, and going on in “The Last Forever.” The story is touching, humorous and poignant and full of moments that will pull firmly on your heartstrings. Don’t get me wrong, this book is anything but sappy and is filled with terrific writing that pulls the reader right into the plot. It also contains a surprising number of laugh-out-loud moments.
“The Last Forever” will resonate with readers and leave them feeling that they have completed an important journey of their own. If I were grading, I’d give “The Last Forever” an A++. “The Last Forever” is from Simon Pulse and is suitable for ages 12 and up. It is scheduled for release in April of 2014. Put this one on your reading list as you don’t want to miss it!
This book was provided to me by the publisher for this review. The opinions, however, are entirely my own!
