The real winners of both the Nancy Drew and Beat the Winter Blues Blog hops are, of course, all of us. We’re so lucky to have people like Carol and Madam Samm and Michelle pulling all these fun events together for us. These ladies all deserve a huge thank you. I had such fun and I can hardly wait for the next one! In the meantime, I hopped over to see the random number generator (I could really waste a lot of time playing with that thing but I only do it once, I promise) and here’s what came up.
For the commentors on the Nancy Drew Blog Hop the winner is comment #5.
I love how many places your ND quilt has been! A lovely quilt, indeed! Leslie
A big thank you to Leslie for her kind words and for stopping by…and, of course, to everyone who stopped by. I especially loved knowing that I wasn’t the only person who still remembers the Bobbsey Twins. I think I may see if they have them in my local library! (Only after I finish the enormous stack of reading I have right now.)
For the Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop, the winner was number 95 (much more counting involved here.)
vandaag schijnt de zon en die verslaat de winterblues, op naar de lenteblues dank voor het mogen meedoen
Which, according to Google Translate is Dutch for “Today the sun shines and that beats the winter blues, in the spring blues thanks for being allowed to participate.” I have to admit that I feel quite cosmopolitan sending packages of fabric out to other countries!
I’ll be emailing both my winners and getting their fabric mail addresses (doesn’t that sound better than snail mail?) I actually bought three yards of my fabric and I’m thinking that there is a new apron for my younger daughter in the yard I got for myself. I made her a lined and ruffled one when she was eight but she much, much taller now (although still very willowy) and has been hinting at a new one.
Ok, that being done and crossed off my list, I’m off to finish making dinner (who needs to cook when there is important quilting business?) and then run a couple of quick errands and spend the rest of the evening quilting. Oh, and I have an update coming on my March finish…as soon as I get the next step going!
