The number 9 came up in the Country Threads UFO game and, I’ll admit it, I groaned. There’s going to be a lot of hand work in this one. This is Sarah’s high school graduation quilt. The music is the refrain from “Born to Be Wild” (the baritone sax part) and my plan was to put photos on fabric to make it read like a sheet of music scattered with photos of her high school years. Here’s the before picture and, God willing and the creek don’t rise, there will be an after picture at the end of the month! Also on my list for this month is getting Quilt Without End to the flimsy stage, two quilting projects for other people and a French bulletin board. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln…seriously, though, I also plan to do some de-cluttering. Flylady has issued a 40 boxes in 40 days and I’d like to see what my house looks like with forty boxes less of stuff we’re not using. We’re up to 13 already and, well, let’s just say there’s lots of room for improvement! I’m linking this up to A Lovely Year of Finishes.

What a neat idea for a graduation quilt! If she’s graduating this year it’s probably a good thing this one came up this month! LOL
