After seeing Ken Davis at Women of Faith, I jumped at the chance to review this book. Ken had to be one of the funniest, most entertaining and inspiring speakers I’ve ever seen. Now the ability to speak live doesn’t always translate to writing well but Ken is just as entertaining on the page as in person. This was one of those books where I often laughed out loud and pestered people around me to “Just listen to this one!”
Ken Davis invites the reader into his own life experience and challenges you to discover the dead zones in your own life. No matter what age you are, it’s never too late to starting living life more fully and Ken Davis is ready to hand you valuable advice to get you heading down the road to a fuller life.
Whether you are in the middle-aged doldrums, retired and wondering what’s next or just starting out, this book contains valuable advice packaged with humor, grace and just enough down-to-earth honesty to make the message seem more like a treat than a sermon.
I’d recommend this book for anyone high school age and up. If nothing else, you’ll be inspired by Ken’s story of how he went from a “manatee” to an active, fit senior. More than likely, you’ll have your funny bone tickled while life lessons slip in like treats!
