“The Deposit Slip” Will Keep You Turning Pages

Imagine your last parent dies and you find a deposit slip in a safe deposit box you didn’t know existed.  A deposit slip with a lot of zeroes.  A deposit slip the bank says they don’t have a record of.  How far would you go to solve the mystery and are you prepared for the answers you may find?

Todd Johnson prepares and delivers a strong, fast-paced and interesting mystery in The Deposit Slip.  One part mystery and one part legal drama, “The Deposit Slip” delivers just the right balance to keep you turning pages.   His characters are believable and engaging.  It is easy to empathize with Erin Larson and her search for the truth about her recently deceased father.  Jared Neaton, an attorney with something to prove and everything on the line, becomes obsessed with the case and risks losing his practice as he searches for answers.

“The Deposit Slip” has enough twists and turns to truly keep you guessing and turning pages.  My only quibble with it was the sense of place.  I never truly felt I could picture most of the settings in my imagination but even that didn’t keep me from truly enjoying “The Deposit Slip.”

If you’re fond of legal dramas and/or mysteries, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy this book…although that’s not a guarantee that you can take to the bank!
